Why You Don’t Need a Detox—You Need a Plan

Every January. Every summer. Every time we feel “off track”... the detox marketing starts creeping in:

  • 3-day juice fasts

  • Skinny teas

  • “Clean eating” challenges

Let me be clear: your liver doesn’t need a cleanse. Your body already has a detox system—it’s called your organs.

What you really need is a plan. A simple, realistic system that supports your body, your goals, and your life.

🧪 The Truth About Detoxes

  • They mostly lead to temporary weight loss from water, not fat

  • They often cause energy crashes, mood swings, and binge cycles

  • They reinforce the idea that your body is “dirty” or needs to be punished

  • And worst of all? They don’t teach you how to keep results once they’re over

💡 Here’s What to Do Instead:

  • Eat more protein to support lean muscle and stable energy

  • Strength train 2–4 times per week to increase metabolism and resilience

  • Sleep, hydrate, and walk daily to support natural detox systems

  • Build habits slowly so they actually stick

If you’ve done the detox dance before, I get it. But this time, let’s try something that actually works.
